Superintendent perfects voluntary self-exclusion procedure for casino players
The last Saturday was published in the Official Gazette the extract of the Circular No. 102, which gives instructions on the procedures that the operating companies and concessionaires of municipal casinos must implement to allow voluntary self-exclusion of the players to the gambling halls of its gambling casinos.
The new circular, which will enter into force 120 calendar days after this publication and which repeals Circular N ° 44, which currently regulates this matter, establishes that the voluntary self-exclusion that is subscribed will be valid with respect to all the gambling rooms of the casinos of the country and not only with respect to the gambling casino where the self-exclusion form is presented, as is the case so far.
In addition, gambling casinos are entitled to prevent the entry of the self-excluded, for which they must control their income, requiring the identity card of each of the persons attending said venue, contrasting the RUN of the respective person with the Database of self-excluded nationally, that the Superintendence will provide.
People who wish to voluntarily exclude themselves from the gaming casinos of gaming casinos may do so in four ways:
1. Online through a unique code obtained before the Civil Registry.
2. Through the website of the Superintendency.
3. In person before any casino in the country or before this Superintendence.
4. Through a certified letter to this Superintendency, according to the unique Voluntary Self-Exclusion Form, prepared by this body.
Once the Unique Self-Exclusion Form has been signed and while it is in force, the operating companies and concessionaires of municipal casinos must proceed to block game cards and / or loyalty within a period of two business days, counted from the reception of the form. Likewise, they must provide a talk to all self-excluded who request it or who is detected trying to enter the game room, in relation to Responsible Gaming and the effects that an inappropriate practice of the game can produce.
This initiative joins the educational campaign in the responsible game "Do not play with the game: If it ceases to be entertaining is no longer game", which launched the body last January and which is available on the institutional website.
The Superintendent of Gambling Casinos, Vivien Villagrán, explained that both initiatives are part of the institutional mission that is to promote the sustainable development of the industry through responsible, legal and transparent gambling, contributing to regional development. "I think we can improve on this matter and advance an ethical agreement with the industry. We know that it is a concern of the operators, and therefore I see an opportunity to clearly install a message to those who attend the casinos: an invitation to share and play appealing to the playful, rather than the probability of winning, "he said.
WHAT IS THE SUPERINTENDENCE OF CASINOS?

El día sábado recién pasado fue publicado en el Diario Oficial el extracto de la Circular N° 102, que imparte instrucciones sobre los procedimientos que las sociedades operadoras y concesionarias de casinos municipales deben implementar para permitir la autoexclusión voluntaria de los jugadores a las salas de juego de sus casinos de juego.
La nueva circular, que entrará en vigencia 120 días corridos después de esta publicación y que deroga la Circular N° 44, que actualmente regula esta materia, establece que la autoexclusión voluntaria que se suscriba tendrá validez respecto de todas las salas de juego de los casinos de juego del país y no solo respecto del casino de juego donde se presenta el formulario de autoexclusión, como ocurre hasta ahora.
Además, los casinos de juego están facultados para impedir la entrada del autoexcluido, para lo cual deberán controlar su ingreso, debiendo requerir la cédula de identidad de cada una de las personas que asistan a dicho recinto, contrastando el RUN de la respectiva persona con la Base de Datos de autoexcluidos a nivel nacional, que la Superintendencia proveerá.
Las personas que deseen autoexcluirse voluntariamente de las salas de juego de los casinos de juego podrán hacerlo de cuatro maneras:
1. En línea mediante clave única obtenida ante al Registro civil.
2. A través del sitio web de la Superintendencia.
3. De manera presencial ante cualquier casino del país o ante esta Superintendencia.
4. A través de una carta certificada ante esta Superintendencia, conforme al Formulario único de Autoexclusión Voluntaria, elaborado por este organismo.
Una vez suscrito el Formulario Único de Autoexclusión y mientras ésta se encuentre vigente, las sociedades operadoras y concesionarias de casinos municipales deberán proceder al bloqueo de tarjetas de juego y/o fidelización en un plazo de dos días hábiles, contados desde la recepción del formulario. Asimismo, deberán brindar una charla a todo autoexcluido que lo solicite o que sea detectado intentando ingresar a la sala de juego, con relación al Juego Responsable y los efectos que una práctica no adecuada del juego puede producir.
Esta iniciativa, se suma a la campaña educativa en el juego responsable “No juegues con el juego: Si deja de ser entretenido ya no es juego”, que lanzó el organismo en enero pasado y que se encuentra disponible en el sitio web institucional.
La Superintendenta de Casinos de Juego, Vivien Villagrán, explicó que ambas iniciativas se enmarcan en la misión institucional que es promover el desarrollo sustentable de la industria mediante el juego responsable, legal y transparente, contribuyendo al desarrollo regional. “Creo que podemos mejorar en esta materia y avanzar en un acuerdo ético con la industria. Sabemos que es una preocupación de los operadores, y por ello veo una oportunidad de instalar claramente un mensaje hacia quienes concurren a los casinos: una invitación a compartir y jugar apelando a lo lúdico, más que a la probabilidad de ganancia.”, señaló.
